Chinese new year? @ 4:33 AM
Hurray! The Chinese lunar new year has knocked on your door again. Happy new year!! *pause and ponder* Happy new year????
The spirit of Chinese new year seems to be dwindling. Gone the festive spirit and joyous atmosphere, gone the smiles of relatives and friends who you have not seen for a long year, and gone the spirit of giving and sharing. Maybe it is just the pessimist me speaking again, but this is what I felt. Perhaps I am just too old to enjoy the tradition truly and fully. Or maybe time has once more, took its initiative to leave me behind. I am still living in the shadows of yester-years when everything including the economy is happy and all smiles.
It is DEAD quiet this new year. Past years I never had the opportunity to arrange programmes on the 2nd day of the Chinese new year, this year I have the "luxury" to do so. This blessing in disguise allowed me to meet some of my JC classmates and of course spend some time with clan IS. Time really change people. Or should I say people change? My JC classmates seems different as I last saw them. Behind a same face and name is a different person entirely. It is like meeting a recognized stranger. Maybe to them, I am a changed man too....
Nobody
Name: Brandon
A broken bottle of liqueur,
Empty and stale without a single ripple.
Brewed in the forgotten year of 1984,
A spirit that none will tip to pour.
Lock up in a cold cellar of no summer or fall,
Maybe it has no right to ask for any more.
Will you buy it and bring it out to thaw,
Give it some warm or amore
